One of us.
Standing for all of us.
Next May, Wales will elect a new Senedd, with new boundaries and a new voting system.
Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr – our new constituency – is where I live, work, and volunteer for local charities and groups. I’m incredibly proud to be a working-class boy from our Valleys.
I’ve represented local people for the past 26 years – whether as an RCT councillor, a trade union shop steward, a volunteer, or a caseworker for Labour MPs and Senedd Members.
I’ve always stood up for local people and our communities. Now I want to use my experience to stand up for you in our Senedd.
“By the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone.”
These words aren’t just printed on our Party membership cards – they reflect the values we live by.
Solidarity and collectivism are the foundations for securing real improvements for working people.
Proud to be supported by workers

Over 25 years of representing Pontypridd, Cynon & Merthyr
Representing people has been at the heart of my life for the past 26 years—whether as an RCT councillor, a trade union shop steward, a volunteer, or a caseworker for Labour MPs and Senedd Members.
I’ve always stood up for local people and our communities. Now I want to use my experience to stand up for you in our Senedd.

I want to know what you think
Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr are our communities. I want to hear your views on my plans for the Senedd and how we can improve our area, together.
A proven
election winner
Whether winning a council seat from Plaid Cymru in Cynon Valley, serving as Pontypridd's Election Agent, or over 20 years campaigning in Merthyr Tydfil - I know how to win elections for Labour.

A seasoned campaigner for Labour
I've campaigned for Labour candidates for our local councils, for the Senedd and for the UK Parliament.
I've been a Labour Party member for almost 30 years. I know that a Labour government will always be on our side. That's why I want to be part of our local team to help Labour win in 2026.
Committed to Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr
I’ve got 30 years’ experience campaigning for Labour across Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr.
Alongside Vikki Howells and Andrew Morgan, I helped establish Cynon Valley Young Labour over 20 years ago.
Below: campaigning in Penrhiwceiber for the first ever Senedd (Welsh Assembly as it then was) and RCT elections in 1999.

My pledges for Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr

A Museum of Working-Class and Trade Union History
Wales is the only UK nation without a museum dedicated to its people’s history.
I’ll work to establish one that reflects our proud working-class roots.
A Co-operative Garden Village
I’ll work with local councils and partners to deliver Wales’ first co-operative garden village - offering affordable, community-led housing.

An Animal Clinic
Many local families struggle to access affordable pet care.
I’ll campaign for a low-cost animal clinic so that no one is priced out of caring for their pets.
My priorities for the Senedd
Make Wales a Co-operative Housing Nation
I’ll work to develop co-operative housing to meet local needs and offer a fairer model for homebuilding.

Tackle Child Poverty
It’s unacceptable that children still grow up in poverty. I’ll champion policies that give every child the best start in life.
Promote Trade Unions
I’ll strengthen the Social Partnership Act to ensure Welsh Government funding boosts workers’ earning power.
